Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone can help me put an author and a title to this book which I remember reading a few years ago but unfortunately I now have a complete mental blank as to the details? It was one of those 'pseudo scientific' popular history investigations into King Arthur. It proposed that the Gododdin saga did not take place in the Scottish borders at all but entirely in North Wales and then proceeded to identify all the relevant place names such as 'Din Eidyn' which was not located near Edinburgh but instead at an identically named hillfort in the welsh countryside.
I also seem to remember the author discovering a stone with a medieval sword mold carved into it at one of the sites and claiming this as the inspiration for the 'sword in the stone ' legends.
Any ideas?
