I seem to have missed this new series :\ by Patrick McCormack. Albion is set after Arthur's demise, but includes Gwenhwyvar and Bedwyr as main characters. That's why I now proudly own....part 2. As it happens, the series is already 2 years old and I missed it! (Note to the readers: any tips on new releases?):lol

It was described on Arthurnet as very "enjoyable
'historical'" by Sam Wenger of Three Geese In Flight Celtic Books. Part 1, "The Last Companion" is set ten years after the death of King Arthur, Budoc now a hermit is disturbed by Irish pirates who are in search of a magic chalice, believed to confer the sovereignity of Britain on its possessor. Only Budoc and a few followers defend it, and amongst them is a girl, of quite extraordinary powers.

Part 2, "The White Phantom", is centered on the hunt for Guinevere/Gwenhwyvar. Arthur's queen is missing and she must be found. Budoc, one of the few remaining knights, now an old man, together with the young warrior, Nai and a mysterious horsewoman, must buckle on his sword once again to go seeking the Lady, before someone else finds her.

Looks like a welcome addition to the collection!
